A City Center Property Built for Long-Term Partnership

King Energy partnered with Dunhill Partners to deliver a multi-array solar system at The Shoppes at Chino Hills, a central retail destination serving residents, local businesses, and national tenants across the Chino Hills community. The project reflects a long-term investment in the property and the businesses that depend on it, one that makes clear financial sense for ownership while delivering tangible benefits to every tenant on site.

The Shoppes at Chino Hills operates as a gathering place and de facto city center for the region, making it a meaningful location for one of King Energy’s most technically sophisticated installations to date. The system features five interconnected solar arrays tied into the local grid, generating close to two million kilowatt hours of clean energy annually, all consumed on site by local businesses and national retailers. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by King Energy leadership, Dunhill Partners property management, and Chino Hills City Council Member Peter Rogers, who recognized the project as a model for commercial properties across the region.

Clean Energy That Works for Ownership, Tenants, and Community

King Energy installs, owns, and operates the solar system at no cost to Dunhill Partners and commercial property owners. Ownership receives long-term rental income while tenants across the property access discounted clean energy through OneBill™, King Energy’s enterprise-grade billing platform that consolidates solar and utility charges into a single transaction. From local small businesses to national retailers, every tenant benefits from a program that requires no capital investment and no operational lift.

The Chino Hills project demonstrates that solar makes financial and operational sense at scale, for property owners seeking new NOI, tenants looking to reduce energy costs, and communities that benefit from clean energy generated right where it is consumed. Contact King Energy to learn how a commercial property can be part of the nationwide solar program built for multi-tenant retail.

Thank you to our partner, Sustineo, for their contributions to this project and for capturing the program via drone video.
