A Community Retail Center Navigating Rising Energy Costs
Rancho Temecula Town Center is a high-traffic community retail center with a diverse mix of tenants and significant energy demand. Like many community shopping centers, the site faces rising utility costs and increasing pressure to find practical ways to manage energy expenses without disrupting day-to-day operations.
King Energy deployed an onsite solar solution at Rancho Temecula Town Center designed to deliver lower-cost electricity, support tenant participation, and integrate seamlessly into existing property operations. The system provides clean, locally generated power while operating through a turnkey model that minimizes administrative and operational complexity.
A Turnkey Solar Program With Real Financial and Environmental Returns
King Energy implemented a turnkey rooftop solar system at Rancho Temecula Town Center, generating approximately 500,000 kWh of clean energy annually. The program delivers discounted renewable power through OneBill™, creating meaningful energy savings while supporting broader sustainability goals — all without disrupting day-to-day operations.
The system offsets roughly 353 metric tons of CO₂ each year, equivalent to removing 80 cars from the road or preserving 420 acres of forest. More than 30 local businesses now benefit from lower electricity costs, demonstrating how clean energy infrastructure can strengthen retail environments both environmentally and economically.
